The works are presented with no mention of authorship or title and offered for sale at a symbolic price of 250€ each. The identity of the artist is revealed only after the work is sold: Sold drawings will be taken right off the wall and the empty space left behind will be marked with the artist‘s full name and place of origin.   ANONYMOUS DRAWINGS is conceptual art and an exhibition project all in one: the works of the participating artists become part of a large wall installation; a hierarchy-free homage to the diverse medium of drawing.   The exhibition was preceded by an international open call for entries. There were no requirements in terms of content or form. The only requirement was that the submitted drawing is no bigger than A3. Age, biography or gender of the artists were not requested and did not play any role in the anonymous selection process. The exhibited drawings were selected from over 4400 submissions by the artist and project founder Anke Becker. Die Arbeiten werden ohne Namensnennung der Urheber*innen ausgestellt und zu einem symbolischen Einheitspreis von 250 € zum Verkauf angeboten. Die Anonymität der Zeichner*innen kann nur durch einen Verkauf aufgehoben werden: Verkaufte Zeichnungen werden direkt von der Ausstellungswand genommen, Name und Herkunftsort der jeweiligen Künstler*innen werden in die entstehende Leerstelle auf die Wand geschrieben. Der festgesetzte Einheitspreis versteht sich nicht als realer Marktpreis, sondern fungiert als konzeptueller Platzhalter für jede auf dem Kunstmarkt erdenkliche Verkaufssumme.   ANONYME ZEICHNER*INNEN ist Konzeptkunst und Ausstellungsprojekt in einem: Die einzelnen Werke werden Teil eines eines kollektiven Gesamtkunstwerks ohne Hierarchien und bilden eine Hommage an das vielfältige Medium der Zeichnung.   Der Ausstellung ging ein für jede*n offener, internationaler Aufruf zur Teilnahme voraus. Es gab darin keine inhaltlichen oder formalen Vorgaben. Die einzige Bedingung war dass Zeichnungen nicht größer als A3 sind. Biografische Angaben der Teilnehmer*innen wurden nicht erfragt und spielten bei der ebenfalls anonym durchgeführten Auswahl keine Rolle.  when I make these stamps, here selected rubber stamps, blocks and stencils 1981-2024, I usually start with working sketches like this Melon Book from nature sources ....there are asemic markings everywhere, in rocks, plants, clouds, water, animal skins, banana peels, dirt, old walls, shadows whatever but I have even more semantic images too...

 Jeff sent me via regular postal mail marked and altered material, old book pages, asemic writing, etc.... I staged and photographed scenarios with found objects on my end. We called it Discreet Entries because that is the early name for diary or journal entries... and posted them one day a month at instagram....days 1-10 here...
